Registration

Registration for both retreats is on a first-come, first-served basis. The best way to ensure you will be able to attend is to pay registration early. A registration is not confirmed until payment in full has been received (in the case of a check, that means not until the check has cleared). The winter retreat fills up very quickly (typically by the end of April for the next year's retreat). The summer retreat has a lot more flexibility for space. Partial deposits for registrations are no longer accepted.

Summer Retreat Fee: $22 pp/three nights, $16 pp/two nights, $10 pp/one night, dogs cost $1 per night

Winter Retreat Fee: $225

Refund Policies

Summer retreats: Fully refundable so long as I have a minimum of 16 people attending.

Winter retreats: Fully refundable up to two weeks prior to the start of the retreat so long as I am able to find someone else to take over the reservation. If the cancellation happens less than two weeks prior to the start of the retreat and I am able to find someone else to take over the reservation, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded. No refunds are possible if I can't find someone to take over the reservation.

Please note that making a reservation for a retreat constitutes understanding and acceptance of the refund policy.

Summer Retreat Cost Details

Group camping in the state parks requires a minimum of $52.32 (with tax) per night per cluster of leantos (each cluster is five leantos). That will cover 8 people per cluster at $6.54 per night. An additional $6.54/person/night is added on for every person over the 8 minimum who spend the night. If we have fewer than 8 people per cluster attending, we still have to pay the full price. We typically reserve two clusters of leantos, which gives us a lot of capacity for expansion.

The registration fee includes the administration fee charged by the parks, the makings for s'mores and the provision of some firewood for the group campfire (where we all congregate). No profits are made off the registration fee, all the funds to back into knit camp materials.

Winter Retreat Cost Details

Highland Lodge charges $3270 for the lodging and $76 (pp) for the meals. They can accommodate up to 22 people for the weekend. The number of attendees determines the cost.

If you choose to stay in one of the four cabins on the lodge property, you will only need to pay me $76 for the meals, and you will have meals with the group (though other arrangements can be made, if necessary).

Check Payment

I can accept checks but if you mail me a check keep in mind that it has to arrive. Then I have to deposit it, and your reservation is not confirmed until the check clears my credit union. Please use the Contact Me link to get more detailed information about sending a check to cover registration fees.

Online Payment

I can only accept online payments through Venmo. Venmo is my preferred method of payment and will result in your reservation being confirmed immediately. Please use this link to get to my Venmo Profile or contact me for more detailed information. Please note: send this as a Person to Person payment, NOT a business payment. If I have to pay fees I will need to pass that cost on you and request additional funds. If you use Person to Person payment, there is no fee. I am not a business, so person to person payment is the most appropriate.
